Presentations at CSCNT are open to all. Presentations provide opportunities for acquiring great information, new skills, tools, and techniques for learning to live with cancer. Information increases one’s sense of control of one’s life and, and consequently enhances emotional and social well-being. Since all presentations take place at the clubhouse, members build mutual emotional and social support together by sharing a variety of activities over time and in the same place.
Support groups bring together a mix of newly diagnosed and more experienced members. This allows all to share a range and variety of issues common to everyone living with cancer.
Networking Groups meet monthly to bring together members who have diagnosis-specific interests that are unlikely to be shared by others who are not in a similar situation. The focus in Networking Groups is narrower and more specialized than that of Support Groups.
For those suffering the loss of a loved one bereavement support is provided. Programs are available for both adults and children of all ages.
CSCNT provides programs to support children dealing with cancer directly or through a family member.
